Pali Canon

Pali Canon Online (PCO) is an online library of the Pali Canon materials. While as the materials are provided by end users, PCO verifies their authenticity and accuracy. The establishment of PCO aims to serve the materials used for studying, researching, and teaching. It is not-for-profit and educational in nature.

Access to Insight (ATI) Tipitaka – The selection of suttas here meet three criteria: (1) good translations; (2) useful; and (3) copyright holders’ permission for free distribution. The sutta translations were made by many esteemed translators, including: Venerables Bhikkhu Bodhi, Acharya Buddharakkhita, Bhikkhu Khantipalo, Ñanamoli Thera, Ñanavara Thera, Narada Thera, Nyanaponika Thera, Soma Thera, Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Phra Ajaan Geoff), and many others.

Mahayana Tripitaka

BDK America Tripitaka free PDF downloads –  In 1986, the late Rev. Dr. Yehan Numata, the founder of BDK, established the BDK English Tripitaka Project with the goal of translating Chinese and Japanese Buddhist texts from the Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō, the 100 volume set that is widely recognized a definitive collection of Buddhist texts.  This monumental task is ongoing, and to date BDK has published nearly 60 volumes in what comprises a growing English Buddhist Canon. The translations are available for purchase,  as for free PDF downloads from the website.

BDK Daizokyo Text Database – BDK Tripiṭaka Translation Series is in collaboration with the SAT Daizōkyō text database project. This is the entrance page to the BDK English translations in the SAT website. The viewers can not only browse the English translations but also consult the original Chinese texts and Digital Dictionary of Buddhism, along with a range of other resources.
