Join us Online for Buddha’s Birthday Ceremony at Chuang Yen Monastery: To Welcome the Arrival of the Buddha into Our World
This year, because of the stay-at-home orders, Chuang Yen Monastery did not host a public Buddha’s Birthday ceremony. But the monastery held a small live ceremony among the monastery residents, to celebrate the Buddha Shakyamuni’s arrival in this world. The ceremony consisted of Buddhist chanting in Pali and Chinese, a Bathing the Buddha Ceremony, a short Dharma talk by Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi, and a special dedication of the merits to quell the coronavirus pandemic.
The ceremony may be viewed by clicking the button on the left.
We do hope you can join us through the internet and share with us in this joyful occasion, as we pay respects to our Original Teacher, the Buddha Shakyamuni, and dedicate our efforts to promoting peace, health, and security for all the world’s population.
