Over four days, from Friday morning,
March 17, through Monday afternoon, March 20, Ven. Bodhi will lead an online retreat that proceeds from mindfulness of the body to mindfulness of the mind. Instructions will be based on the Satipatthana Sutta, the Buddha’s most comprehensive discourse on the development of mindfulness. The retreat will run from 6 am until 9 pm ET on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 6 am to 5 pm ET on Monday.
The schedule is as follows:
March 17th (Fri): Settling the mind: mindfulness of breathing
March 18th (Sat): From mindfulness of breathing to full-body mindfulness
March 19th (Sun): From mindfulness to the body to mindfulness of the mind
March 20th (Mon): Mindfully contemplating the mind
A registration form and a more detailed schedule can be found here (left sidebar). Preference will be given to those who can attend all four days, but those who can only attend part-time will also be admitted. Bear in mind that this is not a beginning-level retreat. It is recommended for those who already have some prior experience in meditation practice.
There is no charge for the course. Donations for the monastery are always welcome.
