A 9.0-magnitude earthquake struck Japan on March 11, 2011。The largest earthquake Japan has faced in over 65 years, it killed thousands of people and destroyed over tens of thousands of homes. BAUS participates in “Transfer Merit” for this disaster every day by encouraging everyone to go towards Buddisatva, and prays for the well-being of the victims and a quick recovery for Japan.
International relief for Japan from the U.S. and other countries includes direct emergency assistance as well as the donation of food, medicine, and other necessities to help victims. BAUS will also be collecting donations to support the rebuilding of Japan in the long run. BAUS encourages everyone to donate in order to help this disaster. Please make all checks payable to:
