觀音菩薩出家紀念法會通啟
A Ceremony in Commemoration of
the Renunciation of Bodhisattva Kuan-Yin
觀世音菩薩有不可思議之威神力、慈悲力，於過去無量劫中，已功德圓滿成就佛道，然而為了救度眾生，又再示現菩薩之身，普濟眾生。
本寺感念菩薩之恩德，特舉辦點燈祈福法會，是日由常住法師率領大眾恭誦『觀世音菩薩普門品』、『佛前大供』、並禮請法師為大眾開示。
時間：2015年10月25日（週日）10：00am~12：00noon
地點：莊嚴寺 大佛殿
Dear friends,
Chuang Yen Monastery will commemorate the Renunciation of the Bodhisattva Kuan-Yin on Oct 25, 2015 at the Great Buddha Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00noon. The event for that day includes the chanting of the sutra The Universal Door of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva and making offerings to the Buddha. Participants are encouraged to make donations to receive blessings for themselves or for deliverance of the deceased and to sponsor vegetarian meals for fellow participants.
It is believed that Kuan Yin Bodhisattva attained Buddhahood infinite kalpas ago and was named “The Tathagatha of the Brightness of True Dharma.” Filled with great compassion to help others, he decided to manifest as a Bodhisattva. Kuan Yin will appear in any form in accordance with the needs of the beings who need his instruction. That is why he is called “Kuan Yin,” which means, “The Observer of the sights and sounds of the world.”
