佛教教主釋迦牟尼佛，不但是世間的聖人，也是出世間的聖人。其說法四十九年，以大慈悲、大智慧、大福德、大禪定、大神通力來教化眾生，使每一個人
都能因此而離苦得樂，超凡入聖，這就是對社會，對我們每一個人的恩德。
經云：「諸佛菩薩以大悲心為體，因大悲心而發菩提心，因菩提心而成正覺。」佛經上的道理，處處顯示佛陀「無緣大慈，同體大悲」的心量，所以佛法的存在，就是為了慈悲一切眾生，為了救苦救難。

莊嚴寺將舉行慶祝浴佛法會暨母親節園遊會。

藉外在洗滌佛像，這個儀式的因緣，檢討、反省內心，達到除去心中塵垢的效果，所以，浴佛雖然是個宗教活動，無形之中也能使我們的身心淨化，使社會得到安定，進一步，每個人都能培養佛陀的慈悲心，智慧心，禪定及福報，社會慢慢就會成為人間淨土。

浴佛的意義
淨化個人的身口意，我們手持淨水向悉達多太子像沐浴時，內心應當誠懇祝禱，唱頌“我今灌浴諸如來，淨智莊嚴功德海，五濁眾生離塵垢，同證如來淨法身”，願袪除貪欲、瞋恨、愚痴的污垢，讓身行、語言、心意都能保持潔淨，希望社會清淨安寧，沒有暴力、詐欺、邪惡等事件，環境能夠優美清淨，並且藉著浴佛的功德，淨化自己的煩惱塵垢，美化我們的社會國土，轉五濁惡世為清淨的淨土，導邪曲人心為善良菩提，這就是浴佛的真正意義。
Buddha Day Ceremony & Mother’s Day Garden Party
The Chuang Yen Monastery will be holding a grand Garden Party to celebrate Vesak (Buddha’s Day) and Mother’s Day on May 14 , 2017 from 10am to 3pm. Vesak is the biggest event for Buddhists worldwide to commemorate the birth of the historical Buddha. As Buddhists bathe the Buddha, we aspire to eradicate all defilements and impurities of the body and mind to bring about wisdom and compassion. We also wish that all sentient beings be free from attachment and attain their inherent Buddha nature. We graciously invite you to light bless¬ing lamps on this day.
